A new spread in Entertainment Weekly has a new image of Deadpool, along with information about the movie’s tone.

We already knew the film, which was resurrected after test footage was leaked, would come with an R rating, and the movie’s producer wants to emphasize that it’s a “hard R.”

“It’s graphic,” said Deadpool producer Simon Kinberg. “Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.”

Kinberg is referring to the vulgarity and ultra-violence of Deadpool, who is easily one of Marvel’s more unhinged characters. Deadpool has shown up on-screen before in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but the character was merely a shell of how he’s portrayed in the comics and other media.

The sarcastic anti-hero is once again being portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, who, let’s face it, is a perfect fit for the character—something that was solidified when that test footage was leaked.

According to first-time director Tim Miller, who worked on David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, he sees Deadpool’s on-screen presence as a corollary to Tyler Durden from Fight Club. Good to know.

“We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.”

Deadpool is set to hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
