If you loved “Top Gear” we have some good news. Jeremy Clarkson and team, including Richard Hammond and James May, announced the name of their new car-focused Amazon show on Wednesday: “The Grand Tour.”
“We’ll be travelling the world hosting each episode in a different country, from a giant tent,” Clarkson said. “It’s sort of a ‘grand tour,’ if you like. SO we’ve decided to call it ‘The Grand Tour.'” The show will air weekly and parts of it will feature a studio audience, sitting in the aforementioned tent, Amazon said. Amazon’s vice president of video in Europe said that it took almost nine months to come up with a name for the show, but said that it’s “one of the most anticipated TV launches ever” and that he’s excited for the show’s debut this fall.
The trio have signed on for three seasons of ‘The Grand Tour’, with Andy Wilman producing, and Amazon Prime members will be invited to future locations as filming continues on future episodes.
