You should know by now that leaving once the credits begin rolling is a big no-no. But, as confirmed by Comicbook, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will indeed have a mid-credits scene for an extra bit of fun. The site confirmed the news following a round of press screenings earlier this week.
Comicbook doesn’t reveal what the scene actually is, only that it’s “pivotal and important.” If we were to venture a guess, we’d say it has something to do with next year’s Justice League, but that’s just speculation on our part. Could it have something to do with Superman’s return? Or does it show Steppenwolf, who we saw in Batman v Superman, doing something evil?
There actually wasn’t a mid-credits scene for Batman v Superman, which was quite unusual. According to Comicbook, there doesn’t appear to be anything after the credits of Suicide Squad although the site warns their information is only based on what was shown during early screenings, so the wide release next week could be different.
In any case, stay put for a few minutes after the movie’s credits begin to role. Suicide Squad hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
