Until then, AMC is kicking its marketing for The Walking Dead’s return into high gear with a new TV spot. As you’d expect, it’s all about the vile new villain, who rules his community through fear and violence.
“There are rules,” Negan says in the clip above. “You earn what you take.”
Much of what Negan says in the clip appears to be cut together from different scenes, although the shot at the end suggests it could just be one big monologue condensed for the TV spot. It’s unclear who he’s espousing his views to but one thing’s for sure: Negan is one arrogant SOB.
“Thing is, I am everywhere,” he says with a wry smile.
I’m guessing we’ll see Negan at the center of a lot of these moments when The Walking Dead returns on Oct. 23. Will he eventually get his comeuppance? And who is he going to beat to a pulp?
