Everything about Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is just perfect, including the above picture of the anti-hero is his familiar red and black suit.
The actor on Friday tweeted out an image of Deadpool in his official suit, casually lounging over the pelt of a brown bear in front of a fireplace. It looks cozy.
The Deadpool saga has been up and down over the last several months, but things are finally taking shape. Following the “leak” of test footage, a conversation around the possibility of a movie began to boil to the surface, with many calling for Reynolds to play the starring role. And it’s easy to see why; Deadpool is wise-cracking, charming and crude—an apt description for the veteran actor.
Filming should be underway soon if it isn’t already, with a planned release date of Feb. 12, 2016. Below is the official synopsis.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
