We already knew Andy Serkis was involved in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but we didn’t know in what capacity. Now we know.
Lucasfilm on Thursday announced that Serkis will play a character known as Supreme Leader Snoke. You can see an image of Serkis, erm, Snoke, in his full motion-capture fear at the head of this post. How Snoke will factor into the story is unclear, but given his “Supreme Leader” status, there’s a possibility he’ll be leading the new First Order.
Unfortunately, we don’t know what Snoke looks like, though his name certainly suggests he’ll be one scary dude.
