Jurassic World review: More dinosaur fun

Jurassic Park holds a special place in my heart. Whenever I catch it on TV, I’ll drop whatever I’m doing and watch it through to completion. For me it’s that good, and brings back a lot of fond memories. It scared the bejesus out of me when I was 8, and it still gives me a thrill no other movie can, even though I know exactly what’s going to happen, and when. Needless to say I’m really looking forward to seeing Jurassic World in theaters.

While I haven’t yet had the chance to catch the flick, Jon saw it this past weekend, and, well, he loved it. If you are a fan of any of the first three Jurassic Park movies, you’re going to absolutely love Jurassic World.

You have to have the right approach in order to really appreciate what a movie like Jurassic World has to offer. It’s not going to blow you away with its plot, and you can’t expect the acting to be Oscar-worthy. What you get is a fun and exciting monster movie with great set pieces and awe-inspiring visuals. It’s the perfect kind of turn-your-brain-off-and-enjoy-it-for-what-it-is kind of movie.

If you want to hear more about what Jon thought of the film, check out the video above for his spoiler-free take. And if you already had a chance to see the movie, let us know what you thought in the comments below. But please don’t spoil it for others.
